Zapiet 3.0 is compatible with all themes and cart styles designed for the Shopify platform. If you’re using one of our auto-install themes you can take full advantage of our express setup.
If you're using a custom or modified theme we recommend that you run the express setup and then complete the article below on manually updating your theme:
Manually updating your stores theme
Getting up and running with Zapiet 3.0 is dead easy! This quick guide will show you how to get the app installed and offering your customers pickup services in no time!
Once you have chosen your package and authorized the app the first page you will be presented with is the express setup page. This process configures the product variants that define pickup items and injects the core assets that power the app into your theme.
Click the ‘Select Express’ option to get started, you will see progress meters begin to advance for each of the core sections of the app installation.
The webhooks and theme sections should process relatively quickly, the product section will vary dependant on how many products that you have in your store. If you have several thousand products then this process can take a few hours.
You don’t need to keep the app or tab open, the app will continue processing the variants in the background. If you’re aware that you have a lot of products to process a suggested solution is that you allow the import to run overnight.
If you're using an auto-install theme:
Once this process is complete the app is ready to use. If you’re using one of our supported express setup themes then you’re good to go and should be able to see the new widget in your cart (do allow a minute or two as there can be a small delay).
If you're using a custom / modified theme:
The express checkout would have been able to inject the assets for the app but there are a few tweaks that we still need to make to your theme manually.
